Classes Coming Fall 2008
The Certified Mould Inspector program offered by the Mould Academy will provide
students with the skills to perform a mould assessment in almost any building of
any size and severity. We teach our students the essential skills to
perform proper mould assessments using the latest instruments and techniques.
Students will use the information learned in an actual assessment where real
life samples are sent to a laboratory. These results are then analyzed and
discussed in the classroom the next day when the results become available from
the lab.
Training will cover the following:
- How to perform a proper visual inspection
- What data or history of the building is important
- What instruments should be used
- How should these instruments be used (hands-on in the field)
- What kind of laboratory sampling is appropriate
- How should the samples be taken (hands-on in the field)
- How should the data be interpreted
- What recommendations and conclusions should be provided to the client
Hands-on instruments:
- IAQ instruments such as Temp, RH, CO, CO2
